    Need prescription

Intrarosa is comprised of PRASTERONE aka DHEA. Ingredients: prasterone and off-white hard fat (Witepsol). Ingredients: glycerol esters of vegetable saturated fatty acids.

Products I DO NOT Recommend

  • Winona Hormones

    Too many chemicals and fillers:

C12 - 15 alkyl benzoate, caprylic/capric triglycerides, cetyl alcohol, ethylhexylglycerin, glycerin USP, glyceryl stearate, hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer, oleic acid, olive oil, PEG-100 stearate, polymethylsiloxane, purified water, stearic acid, trolamine NF, and vitamin E acetate

There are too many chemicals to outweigh the benefits in my opinion. OPt for an option above get your hormones from a compounding pharmacy

  • Dr. Kellyann

They use herbs which are not organic and contain fillers. Ingredients: MS-10 Japanese thistle and thyme leaf extract, DIM - Diindolylmethame, chasteberry extract, L-theanine, saffron extract, maca root powder, rhodiola rosea root extract, glucomylase, amylase, cellulase, acid protease, maltase, invertase, glycine, l-proline, and lactobacilus LB Fermentate

Hypromellose, gellan gum, carrot concentrate, dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, glyceryl dibehenate, bamboo shoot leaf extract

  • Alloy Estradiol Gel

I reached out to the company since they don't provide ingredients on their website. Here's the list:

    Estradiol

    Alcohol (as a base)

    Purified water

    Carbomer 934P

    Triethanolamine

    Propylene glycol

I do not approve of these ingredients, especially propylene glycol which acts as a preservative. Propylene glycol can also cause dermatitis and is classified by the ewg as a skin irritant. I do not recommend products from alloy!

  • Alloy Oral Estradiol Pill

I don't recommend estrogen pills (nor birth control pills for this same reason).

People who use estrogen-only pills during menopause were more likely to be diagnosed with high blood pressure than those using patches or creams. When taken as a pill, estrogen is predominately metabolized in the liver, where the hormone is turned inactive and then passes from the body via urine and feces.

I am still waiting from the company to receive a full list of ingredients, but I would NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!

  • Alloy Estradiol Patch

I reached out to the company since they don't provide ingredients on their website. Here's the list:

    Estradiol (active ingredient)

    Acrylic adhesive

    Silicone adhesive

    Oleyl alcohol

    Povidone

    Dipropylene glycol

    Polyester film

These ingredients are deplorable! For instance, Dipropylene glycol is also used in anti-freeze! All products from allot get a hard pass in my book! It may look convenient, but I am very wary of the adhesive glue, and fillers.

  • Equelle

    I don't recommend soy!
Ingredients: S-equol, Dicalcium Phosphate, Fermented Soy Germ, Silicon Dioxide, Croscarmellose Sodium, Magnesium Stearate, Coating (Hypromellose, Glycerin, Hydroxypropyl Cellulose), Microcrystalline Cellulose.

Phytoestrogens, found in soy, mimic the actions of estrogen in the body. Although perimenopausal and menopausal women lose estrogen after 35, taking too many phytoestrogens can upset the delicate hormonal balance. Soy contains compounds that may interfere with nutrient absorption and digestion.

  • The Wiley Protocol

honestly, these list of chemicals are horrendous:

Purified Water, Glycerin, C12-15 Alkyl benzoate, glyceryl stearate, PEG -100 stearate, Stearic acid, Oleic acid, Olive oil, Hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer, Caprylic/capric triglycerides, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone, Cetyl alcohol, Squalane, Polysorbate 60, Trolarnine, vitamin E acetate, EttryltExylglycerine

besides the water and olive oil, all of these ingredients are banned in my household and I don't recommend using them!

  • IMVEXXY

This is a prescription I am against due to the toxic and carcinogenic ingredient list: Ammonium hydroxide, ethanol, ethyl acetate, ethylene glycol palmitostearate, FD&C Red #40, gelatin, glycerin, isopropyl alcohol, lecithin, medium chain triglycerides, polyethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol stearates, polyvinyl acetate phthalate, propylene glycol, purified water, sorbitol-sorbitan solution, and titanium dioxide.

Red #40 is a known carcinogen. I would never recommend this pharmaceutical. While it's nice estrogen suppositories exist, I do not approve of this product.

  • Menopause Method by Dr. David Rosensweet

I personally signed up for this program ($1,600 USD for one year). AT my first appointment the nurse practitioner was astonished I still had a period and felt uneasy about prescribing me hormones. I expected a clinician who specializes in hormones to have a deeper understanding of hormones but she did not. This is a money-making scheme that preys on women. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! THIS IS A SCAM! I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH!

  • Estring

I do not recommend this Vaginal Estrogen Ring (Similar to the birth control ring, Nuva Ring) because it contains the following: Estradiol, silicone polymers, barium sulfate and silicone fluid. While a ring may sound convenient, barium sulfate is a heavy metal. Barium sulfate ore is mined and mostly used by the oil and gas industries to make drilling muds. I would not recommend this product to my friends or family. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER OPTIONS OUT THERE!

  • Vagifem

Out of all the pharmaceuticals, this is one I would probably recommend - with a caveat... It contains polyethylene glycol which is a derivative of petrolatum. ingredients: hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, maize starch and magnesium stearate. The film coating contains hypromellose and polyethylene glycol. maize is another word for corn and corn is a food commonly sprayed with pesticides. While not horrible, it's also not amazing.

  • Estrace Lotion

Toxic ingredients: purified water, propylene glycol, stearyl alcohol, white ceresin wax, mono- and di-glycerides, hypromellose 2208 (4000 cps), sodium lauryl sulfate, methylparaben, edetate di-sodium and tertiary-butylhydroquinone. They also use propylene glycol which can cause irritation. Hard pass on using such a hard cream on delicate skin. Ask your doctor for compounded estrogen mixed in jojoba oil.

  • Premarin

toxic ingredients including: sodium sulfate conjugates: 17 α-dihydroequilin, 17 α-estradiol, and 17 β-dihydroequilin, cetyl esters wax, cetyl alcohol, white wax, glyceryl monostearate, propylene glycol monostearate, methyl stearate, benzyl alcohol, sodium lauryl sulfate, glycerin, and mineral oil.

  • Endometrin

This pharmaceutical uses PVP which the EWG has classified as toxic or harmful.

Ingredients: progesterone, lactose monohydrate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, adipic acid, sodium bicarbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate, pregelatinized starch, and colloidal silicon dioxide. Hard pass on this suppository.

  • Prometrium / Prasterone

These ingredients are shameful: peanut oil NF, gelatin NF, glycerin USP, lecithin NF, titanium dioxide USP, D&C Yellow No. 10, and FD&C Red No. 40. It doesn't make sense to take this pharmaceutical progesterone when topical progesterone is available over the counter. This pill is full of carcinogens and deplorable in every imaginable way.

  • Crione

When progesterone is available over the counter, it doesn't make sense to use chemical-laden gel.

ingredietns: progesterone, sorbic acid, glycerine, light liquid paraffin, hydrogenated palm oil glycerides, carbomer 974P, polycarbophil, sodium hydroxide and purified water.

    I would never recommend paraffin!

  • Osphena

This non-hormonal pill to treat vaginal dryness is full of toxins!

Ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, povidone, pregelatinized starch, sodium starch glycolate, titanium dioxide, & triacetin.

  • Estro Gel

This one is decent, however the ingredients include:

    purified water

    alcohol

    triethanolamine

    carbomer 934P

We all know alcohol is drying and did you know crbomer 934p is a form of acryllic? No thank you!

  • Lifeforce Progesterone

I don’t recommend this brand due to fillers (and who knows what the source of glycerin is!)
    Ingredients:

    Peanut oil

    Gelatin

    Glycerin

    Lecithin

    Titanium dioxide

    Purified water

    Soy lecithin

  • Lifeforce Estradiol

I don’t recommend this brand due to parabens, sulfates, and harsh chemicals. Ingredients
    Estradiol

    Water

    Propylene Glycol

    Stearyl Alchol

    Ceresin

    Hypromellose

    Sodium Lauryl Sulfate

    Methylparaben

    Edetate Desodium

    Tert-butylhydroquinone

    Polysorbate 80

    Glyceryl Monosterate

  • Lifeforce Estrogen Patch

I would be concerned about the adhesives and toxic ingredient list:

    Estradiol

    Dimethiconol / Trimethylsiloxysilicate Crosspolymer

    Oleyl alchohol

    Povidone

    Dipropylene Glycol
