Momme (mm) is a measurement of the unit of weight of silk. The higher the momme, the more durable, dense, and luxurious the weave. Most silk pillowcases are 19 momme or less. But Avocado’s pure mulberry Silk Pillowcase is 22 momme, ensuring a lifespan that is about 50 percent longer. They only use the highest grade 6A long fiber silk to create one of the most luxurious, temperature- and moisture-regulating silk pillowcases in the world.
Made in India with mulberry silk. Silk is a natural, biodegradable fabric that requires less water to harvest than other fabrics. Mulberry silk is woven from the cocoons of domesticated silkworms that feed on the leaves of the mulberry tree. It’s also hypoallergenic, completely odorless, and certified Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®.
